Big Win for AT&T
Wednesday, August 1, 2007Corr Cronin Michelson Baumgardner & Preece LLP just tried and won more than $9.5 million for AT&T Mobility. Bill Cronin, Mike Moore and Laurie Thornton of Corr Cronin tried the case for 2 ½ weeks in Delaware state court in front of a jury of twelve. The defendant was Federal Insurance. The case involved coverage issues on a Directors and Officers insurance policy that Federal had issued. In addition to finding coverage, the jury also found that Federal acted in bad faith. AT&T is also in position to recover an award of its reasonable attorneys' fees and prejudgment interest for a total potential award in excess of $13 million. Federal was represented by DLA Piper.
