Washington’s new noncompete rules are already having a national impact, especially as employees are increasingly working remotely. A Corr Cronin client’s matter was recently covered in The Washington Post, outlining some of the complex issues that arise out of noncompetes for both employees and employers: when a Washington resident moved from one job to another, his former employer sued him in Illinois. Corr Cronin client Yelp has since sued the former employer over its noncompete practices in Washington. Corr Cronin Partner Jack Lovejoy is the lead attorney on the case.
