Corr Cronin partners Steve Fogg and Jack Lovejoy served as co-counsel with attorneys from Paul Hastings in a recent case win on behalf of client Daiichi Sankyo.
In a multibillion-dollar arbitration over cancer drug patents with former collaborator Seagen, Senior U.S. District Judge James Robart of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington rejected Seagen’s claim that a case arbitrator failed to uphold the rule of law. In Seagen Inc. v. Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd., No. 2:22-cv-01613 (W.D. Wash.), Judge Robart refused to vacate Daiichi Sankyo’s defense win and also confirmed the $45+ million attorney fees previously awarded to Daiichi Sankyo, with interest.
The win was recognized this week by The AmLaw Litigation Daily in its series Litigator of the (Past) Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs.
