After serving the organization for more than ten years, Corr Cronin co-managing partner Blake Marks-Dias has been elected Chair of the Akin Board of Trustees.

Akin is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening families across Washington state. For more than 125 years, Akin has offered vital, wraparound services—from early learning and family support to behavioral health and advocacy—designed to disrupt cycles of inequity and foster nurturing environments for children and caregivers. Akin’s community-centered approach ensures that families receive exactly what they need, when they need it. The organization operates Family Resource Centers that have been shown to reduce child abuse by 63%—a powerful testament to the efficacy of tailored, localized support.
