Whitney Passmore

Whitney Passmore is a partner at Corr Cronin. She brings nearly two decades of litigation experience, with a focus on complex civil litigation. Before joining the firm, Whitney served as Deputy Chief of the Civil Division for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Washington, where she oversaw a team of attorneys handling a wide array of litigation, including employment discrimination, medical malpractice, torts, FOIA, Administrative Procedure Act, False Claims Act, civil rights, and immigration cases. In that role, she also personally litigated high-stakes matters through all stages of litigation, including trial.
Whitney’s practice at Corr Cronin draws on this extensive federal experience as well as her years in private practice at Womble Bond Dickinson, where she focused on mass tort and product liability cases. There, she developed expertise in litigating complex scientific and medical issues and allegations related to corporate conduct. She also worked with clients in a variety of industries on regulatory compliance.
Whitney is committed to pro bono work, having served as appellate counsel for guardians ad litem in cases involving abused and neglected children.
Whitney began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable N. Carlton Tilley of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. She earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and her B.A. in French Language and Literature and Religious Studies from University of Virginia.
