Corr Cronin senior partner Steve Fogg has been elected as one of fifteen Regents of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). Steve will be representing Region 3, which encompasses Alaska, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
The ACTL is the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America that brings together distinguished members of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. The role of Regent is a significant honor, reflecting both leadership within the profession and a commitment to the core values of the institution: professionalism, civility, trial by jury, access to justice, and the rule of law.
As Regent for Region 3, Steve will engage with each of its state and provincial committees to identify and promote the highest standards of trial practice and ethics. He will serve as a bridge between the national organization and the region’s membership, helping to ensure that the region’s voice and concerns are represented at the national level.
Steve will also participate ACTL governance, strategic planning, and initiatives that affect trial lawyers across North America. This includes serving on two ACTL committees: the Access to Justice and Legal Services Committee, which advances efforts to ensure that the civil justice system is available and fair to all people, regardless of income or status; and the Distinguished Pro Bono Fellows Committee, which recognizes pro bono service of exceptional merit and fosters a culture of service among trial lawyers.
About Steve Fogg
Steve brings not only distinguished trial credentials but also a profound understanding of litigation strategy, government investigations, and the complexities of modern trial practice. His practice covers a wide range of matters ranging from high-stakes commercial litigation to catastrophic product-liability matters and high-profile intellectual property disputes. He began his career as a homicide prosecutor in Seattle and previously served as a staff attorney with the SEC. His recognition among peers is exceptional: in addition to being a Regent he is a Fellow of the ACTL, has been ranked annually as Band One for commercial litigation by Chambers USA; was named “Lawyer of the Year” by ABOTA in 2018, as well as “Lawyer of the Year” in Seattle for Product Liability Litigation (Defendants) in 2014 and 2020; and is consistently ranked among top litigators in Washington. Steve has delivered numerous presentations and publications on topics ranging from internal investigations to non-compete and trade secret litigation.
Please join us in congratulating Steve on this well-earned recognition and new leadership role.
