Judge Timothy Bradshaw (ret.)

Tim Bradshaw, a firm partner, is a respected litigator and also an arbitrator at Corr Cronin. Having presided over thousands of cases as a trial court judge, he has deep experience in civil litigation and criminal trials. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, products liability litigation, mass tort litigation. and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). In addition, leveraging years of experience as a judge and the experience of presiding over many settlement conferences, Tim offers independent arbitration services alongside, and informed by, his litigation practice.
Tim was a respected Judge on the King County Superior Court Bench from 2009 to 2019. While on the bench, he served on the Superior Court’s Jury, Security, Courts and Community, and Personnel Committees and was a multi-year volunteer judge to the YMCA Moot Court competition; an invited judge for the University of Washington Law School mock jury trial; faculty member teaching Evidence at the Judicial College; and co-presenter on Hearsay Evidence to King County Superior Court Judges. His retirement from judicial service was highlighted by The Seattle Times.
Tim is also sought out by law firms as a consulting and testifying expert. He also served as an invited consultant to the King County Superior Court’s COVID Working Group on Jury Trials.
Before his decade on the bench, Tim was a noted trial attorney in the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, a tenure that included litigating 125 jury trials to verdict. A founding member of the homicide and cold case units, he pioneered multiple forensic efforts that garnered international interest, including the first DNA (both human and animal) case in county history and the first canine DNA case in the nation’s history. Tim prosecuted the murders of musician Mia Zapata, Sheriff’s Deputy Herzog, the Northlake Shipyard murders, and the nation’s most prolific serial arsonist. In recognition of these achievements, Tim received several awards including the Norm Maleng Outstanding Trial Advocacy Award.
A frequent speaker, Tim has presented to the Civil Court Judicial Forum, Superior Court Boot Camp, Family Law Forum, Trial Strategies From The Experts, and American Board of Trial Advocates annual meeting. With utmost respect for the bench, Tim currently serves on the King County Bar Association Judicial Candidate Evaluation Committee.

State v. Canaday
First degree murder prosecution of the State’s first known serial killer. A measure of justice and vindication was obtained for the 16 year-old, pregnant victim’s husband who was himself a suspect for years.
State v. Cruz
Prosecuted a disgruntled former shipyard employee for the November 1999 “Seattle Shipyard Shooting” that left two men dead and two men injured. Five month, two-phase aggravated murder trial required presentation of complex scientific and psychological expert testimony.
